Finding a roofing company that's reliable and provides a quality service is almost impossible, I had price quotes from a number of contractors ranging $7-$15K, how could that be possible. That has been my experience while trying to get a new roof on and old house until I found Michael at Carpe Diem. He took the time to check every foot of my roof explaining what I needed and what I didn't. He was the first of five contractors to do that. He provided a fair quote and Michael was here to supervised the entire installation and his crew did a great job. His crew cleaned up and Michael check everything before his they left. Awarded Mike the job after getting 3 other quotes (2 higher & 1 lower). He and his crew from start to finish only took in 7 hrs. He was knowledgeable, very professional, neat and fast. Additionally he replaced sections of the rake boards, installed zinc strips and strengthened the gutter.

He is amazing he was quick to respond showed up did really good work where other people were trying to use a crane he just went up there and knocked it out by himself save me a lot of money I definitely use him again I will call him back in the fall I have other work for him to do.

May 2018 I had a new roof installed by Carpe Diem Roofing. They're a local Southeast Ma company and I live in Quincy, MA, so that fit the bill. I spoke with the owner Michael and he set up an appointment the next day. I have to say I did have some reservations about some high pitch sales call but that was not the case. After Michael answered all of my questions about the various roofing material options and the warranties my anxiety soon faded away. Together we planned the type of shingles, color and underlayment. You could tell Michael was experienced and confident in his ability to handle the job. He scheduled a day to start the job. I wanted to be there so it was great he was flexible on scheduling the day. During our meeting Michael scheduled a dumpster to be delivered the day before the job started. Michael was there that day to make sure it was placed where we needed it. Michael and his crew arrived on schedule. I watched as the crew set up for the job. I watched for about 30 minute and I knew right then that I made the right choice. What a professional crew. They paid attention to all details to ensure that the roof replacement went as smooth and on-schedule as possible. Oh, and Michael supervised the crew for the entire day. After the job was completed, they made sure that all debris was picked up including several sweeps with a magnate dolly to pick any nails on the ground. The crew departed but Michael stayed he looked over the entire job and asked if I had any questions. Michael waited until the dumpster truck arrived and hauled dumpster off the property. I know this is a long review but when you see a professional crew like this and supervised by the owner go to work on your Home and do the job they did, it deserves some recognition. Mike installed a new roof for me on my second home. His work was excellent, the cost was extremely fair and the job was completed fast and clean. I was so impressed with Mike that I asked him to inspect some chimney flashing on my primary home which had been leaking badly. Despite two attempts to repair the flashing by two other contractors, both failed, Mike inspected the job and gave me his survey report and price. His work literally looks like a new chimney and not a repair job, completely free of leaking, and completed in one day at a very reasonable price. I would recommend Mike to anyone.
